This was just fun. Vintage cycle head badge inspiration. ADCD 2011, Print Regional Design Annual 2011. Designed at Cactus.
The minimal logo and branding for this pizza & Italian restaurant finds one foot in the past and one in the future. Black & white treated with restraint, and some serious type hierarchy are at the heart of this project. Designed At Cactus
From naming and identity to branding and a fully integrated campaign, this endeavor was the definition of soup to nuts. The identity eludes to the communicative nature of the brand while the branding and campaign attempt to get out of the way to let the communication happen. Using real world folks and their perspectives on health care in Colorado, we shared opinions and positions to provoke further thought and discussion on the issue. Designed & Art directed at Cactus.
The Desk is a coworking café in the capital hill area of Denver. I worked with them to create an identity that reflected the simple elegance of their concept and space, while retaining enough presence to have impact. Then I created menus, collateral, signage, packaging and a full website that create a cohesive experience with their brand.
This was a personal branding project that helped satisfy my cravings for fine printing and crafted techniques. Custom die-cut, perforated and letterpressed chipboard folders contained a giclée poster print of my work and story with a hand-embossed gold foil emblem on it’s front. Also found inside: etched flash drive with work, resumé & letterpress business card. I also branded my own tape to seal the packages as I mailed them out to prospective clients and employers. This is my idea of good, clean fun. Featured on FPO.
The Colorado Lottery annual report for 2011 aimed to fuse a strong and playful brand presence with a sense of the Lottery’s mission: giving back to Colorado. By featuring proceeds locations aided by Lottery dollars combined with the branded circles, we created infographics that tell the story of who the Lottery is, and why they exist. Designed at Cactus.
The Colorado Lottery was looking for some impactful ways to highlight their scratch tickets over two much celebrated holidays: St. Patrick’s Day and Father’s day. For St. Patrick’s Day we created a luck-inspired leprechaun rap. Father’s day turned into “The Legend of your Dad”. Both were incredible fun to work on. Animations & motion by Legwork. For the annual Brew At The Zoo event for 2012 I was tasked with an event identity that translated to print and online tactics. Using vintage asian beer labels as inspiration I created a versatile logo with multiple applications and a print system that cheekily got the “bottoms up” message across with matching animal photography. Winter Park and Steamboat resorts teamed up for an installation at Sports Authority Field. Large vinyl-wrapped walls, table tops, pennants, flags, gondolas and lift chairs all designed with the partnership and the location in mind. I created a look and feel that aimed to play nicely with the location while also creating a definite sense of presence for the brands by the chosen tactics and placements. Designed at Cactus.
